In our Community, we have do’s and don’ts, here are a few of some of the most important ones…
We DO:
- support each other in our daily lives & work situations
- share vendor recommendations freely
- cheer each other on!
- welcome all styles of business owner
- share insights & info from our own experience
- treat all members with respect and compassion
- share resources such as contact info, last minute assistants, etc.
- stories of past experiences that could be helpful to others
- invite each other to hang out
- share funny memes and reels! LOL
- and more…
We DON’T:
- market to other vendors (if they ask for your info, great! If not, stay in your lane)
- criticize others and how they run their business
- use profanity
- trash vendors or anyone else
- blanket market to other Members*
- make others feel uncomfortable**
* This will result in cancellation of your Membership
** it’s ok to disagree but it’s not a place to argue or bully
Members and Activity
Any post by our Members we call an Activity. We reserve the right to editorial judgment—the ability to moderate and/or any Activity without any prior notice or explanation.
Activity we prohibit includes:
- uploaded videos – this is different from embedding videos from services like YouTube or Vimeo.
- political speech
- pornography
- hate speech
- misinformation
Who we are
We are a team of event planners. To extend our mission, we have created an online platform for planners and vendors to connect and encourage each other. What is this platform
Our platform is for engaged and supportive connections. Our aim is to transform the way you can connect and communicate with your community. While we do adhere social-media style interface (this website is built with WordPress and BuddyPress) Planners Fête adds tools that help the collective as a whole stay organized around common goals.
How We Help You Achieve Your Goals
At Planners Fête we are all friends and every member is supportive of the collective. This creates unique and distinctive ways to connect and communicate.
For certain types of Activity you can opt to receive notifications to your email account. You can opt out or change your settings at any time. Engaging with that Member is as easy as logging in and starting a conversation.
Planners Fête Conversations
Conversations allow Members to talk to each other as a collective (group messaging) or in private (private messaging).
When visitors have conversations on the site we collect the data shown in the conversation form.
Avatars
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. If you are not using a Gravatar service you may upload an image that will act as your avatar.
Media
Aside from Avatars we do not allow uploading images to this site. However, if you do upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
We use a cookie to show success and failure messages to logged-in users, in response to certain actions, like joining a group. These cookies contain no personal data, and are deleted immediately after the next page load.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

If you leave a message, the message may be retained indefinitely.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
Personal information you provided when signing up can be removed with an account deletion. Conversations and messages that you sent during your membership may be retained. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Subscribers to our email list get added to our email marketing service MailPoet. MailPoet provides marketing email delivery services to businesses that follow email marketing best practices and only send solicited emails that recipients explicitly and clearly opt-in to receiving, that they want to receive and engage with.
